The QTL team has had many discussions with our colleagues at the Bishopsgate Institute and have drawn up the following policy to ensure our events are as Covid safe as possible.  We hope the below answers any questions you may have but please get in touch if you would like further information.

Covid Policy

Masks

The Bishopsgate Insitute asks that face coverings are worn in all public areas, including on arrival, when walking through the corridors, using bathrooms, cloakrooms and in bar areas. Once inside the Upper Hall face coverings may be removed if you wish.

Event entry requirements

For access to our classes & Milongas we require you to show the following

  • Record of a negative test result from a lateral flow test taken within the last 24 hours
You will be asked to show an email or text confirmation of that result on your mobile phone at the door to the Upper Hall (not at the main reception).

Refunds

You are able to obtain a refund If you test positive for Covid-19 and are able to show evidence of your positive result, please contact the Bishopsgate Box Office (enquiries@bishopsgate.org.uk) to arrange a refund or to exchange your ticket for another event.

Keeping you safe

The upper hall at the Bishopsgate Institute is a large space that is well ventilated. Windows will be kept open during our milonga to increase air circulation and the venue will be operating at a reduced capicty.

Other precautions

The Bishopsgate Institute has strict cleaning protocols in place and ventilation throughout the building. There are also numerous hand-sanitising stations available and touch-free drinking fountains. Find out more about how they’re keeping you safe.

Where can I get a test?

NHS lateral flow tests are free and can be collected from various place or ordered online at gov.uk, tests they should arrive within 24 hours of ordering. Many pharmacies also have tests available for free for walk in customers.

Dancing with other people

QTL strongly believe that dancing with strangers is a fundamental part of a Milonga which is why we are being so strict with our entry requirements. We hope you are willing to dance with others but if you chose to only dance with those from your household we fully support and respect your choice.
