We collect, process, store and use data when you register or buy tickets online for a Queer Tango London milonga or other event of ours.  This data includes your name and email address.

We may also collect such data that you give to us about other people if you register them to attend an event. You agree that you have notified any other person whose data that you provide to us of this privacy notice and, where necessary, obtained their consent so that we can lawfully process their personal data in accordance with this policy.

In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page.

Payment information may be collected and processed by third party apps on the platform and Paypal.  This is collected directly by these third parties and personal details beyond your name, email and ticket information our not held by QTL.

When you contact us by email or post, we may keep a record of the correspondence.


Why do we collect this information?

We collect such Information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the QTL website;

  • To provide online payments and ticketing facilities for our events;

  • To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;

  • To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;

  • To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we may use to provide and improve our respective services; 

  • To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

All direct payment gateways offered by and used by QTL adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.


Marketing Communications

If you opt in to receive marketing communications from us you consent to the processing of your data to send you such communications, which may include information about Queer Tango London milongas or other events in which we are involved. We retain a record of your consent.

We will not pass your information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
