Never danced before? Danced before but only led? or followed? Danced the cha cha but never the tango? Out of practice? Now's the time to give Queer Tango London a try!
Every Monday for 6 weeks from January 8th QTL's Gawaine Preston and Ray Batchelor will be giving a beginners crash course aimed at getting you dancing.
8:30PM - 9:30PM - Class 1: walking with attitude
For our first class we will be looking at the most fundamental part of tango, walking. How to do forwards, backwards, in the tango style and whilst in the embrace.
9:30PM - 11:00PM - Practica
A chance to dance and practice with a range of tango music, old and new, from our resident DJ Tom Cottle. Refreshments (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available.
QTL’s vision of Tango is an inclusive one: If you want to dance tango – and maybe experiment with who does what, why, and how – we want to encourage that curiosity. You will always be welcome at QTL whoever you wish to dance with.
